For the first few weeks of lockdown I lived in loungewear. The kind of clothes that BC (Before Coronavirus) only came out on hungover Sunday; cosy and comfortable. As time has progressed, I have felt frustrated and stifled as I genuinely enjoy putting outfits together, looking and feeling good.

One of the accounts I follow on instagram (the wonderful Erica Davies) recently showed me the benefits of the ‘house dress’. A dress that is comfortable and easy to throw on, but that looks stylish and put together. A dress that makes you feel like you’re making an effort and ‘normal’ but still cosy enough to flop on the sofa and watch Disney+ whilst eating pizza. I admit that I was influenced into going out (virtually) and looking for one of my own. I found this one from Zara, and have been enjoying it ever since.

It's loose and light and perfect for springtime but can be dressed up in future and look just as stylish.

Stilettos optional

I thought I'd spread the good news and put together an edit of other house dresses I have found online (affiliate links - this means if you follow my links and eventually make a purchase I might make a small commission but at no cost to you)

Topshop yellow daisy dress

& Other Stories Square Neck Puff Sleeve Midi Dress

& Other Stories Belted Kimono Wrap Midi Dress

Weekday Cat green shirt dress

All these options will work really well for Zoom meetings but you almost feel like you're wearing a nightie. It's brilliant. You're welcome!
