With the whole world washing their hands every 10 minutes due to Coronavirus, I can’t be the only one whose paws are really starting to suffer! I played around with a few store cupboard ingredients to make a DIY hand mask to make them feel soft and healthy again after being ravaged by soap and antibacterial gel.
DIY hand mask recipe
All you need is:
1 Tbsp. raw honey
1 Tbsp. ground rolled oats
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and apply to your hands, massaging it in to exfoliate. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes or so before washing off with warm water. This DIY hand mask recipe will make enough for 2 applications so you can either save the rest in the fridge and do it again in a few days time, or treat your partner/housemate/parent/sibling to a little spa time!
Another good tip I learned from my manicurist (sob, I miss you) is to massage a drop of olive oil into your nails/cuticles every evening when you cook dinner. You don’t need expensive ointments, Mother Nature gave us all that we require!
