Easy Pasta Recipe: Spaghetti Aglio E Oglio
A delicious, quick and easy dish ready in under 15 minutes. Impossible! I hear you say, but no this is a new discovery of mine thanks to my Italian boyfriend who really does come up trumps with the good food. Spaghetti thrown together with garlic, chilli flakes, parmesan, lemon and parsley.
A very short list of ingredients and an even shorter method, you will probably even have everything for this dish already in your house so that‘s even more time and money saved.
Spaghetti Aglio E Oglio
3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 tsp chilli flakes (Or more to taste)
1 tbsp chopped parsley 4 tbsp grated parmesan
Salt and pepper
Prep everything first as this goes fast!
Boil salted water in a pan and add the spaghetti, cooking it to al dente.
When it is 2 minutes from being done, heat some oil over medium in a separate large frying pan and cook the garlic gently, before adding the parsley and chilli flakes.
Now using tongs, transfer the spaghetti straight out of the water into the pan and toss with the garlic, parsley and chilli flakes, allowing a bit of the water in as well. Add the parmesan and continues to toss so it forms an emulsion with the water that coats the pasta. Squeeze over the lemon juice, season to taste and serve immediately.
